Hello darling,
my baby came back - Chris found my camera and so all is again well. In the land of the insane. MY land. Primary elections in combination with our Family Performance are keeping me busy. Mostly the Family Performance, though, hehe. And, uhm. We had a party at Kaffibarinn on Saturday, a Halloween party. I was a dead cowgirl, with a bulletwound on her forhead. Which I made myself, and I don't think it looked too bad. Although I don't think it's time to change careers, yet. Mondays are slowing me down. It takes me such a long time to sortof get my motor going these days and Mondays especially. Maybe I should try to wake up earlier, be at work at 8 instead of 10. I don't think this will happen any time soon, though. Kisses.

My baby's gone missing. I lent her to some people at work, and then she got misplaced. Hopefully she's still somewhere here at the theatre (I've planted posters everywhere!). Buhu. So if you see my honeypie, she will be in a beautiful, old, black box. So... I guess you'll be seeing a box. But look inside, ok? I'm posting a pic of my sweetie here.
Anyway, things are good, I'm keeping a low profile at home out of shame, since I had a kindof loud party sunday night... hehe... and I'm watching Margaret Cho on DVD... she's good but Izzard's better... and this winter is getting a bit too wintery for my taste. I'm going to have to do something about it. Maybe I can suggest to some extremely rich people that Iceland is an ideal place to build a biosphere or something. You know, build a huge screen over the country, complete with it's own artificial atmosphere, weather, ecological system etc. And I guess you'd have to add some intellectual life, so we might have to import a bit first. Maybe we could export a few artists (not all mind you, so don't get offended) since I doubt they'll be chopping down the trees and harvesting the grain... and I say grain, 'cause it's gonna be WARM there, yes indeedy. See you in the warmer future, 'cause I'm a DOER, dammit.

Happy day. 24th of October. This cannot be but a feminist blog entry... Today we celebrate 31 years since the women's strike in Iceland AND 10 years of Gender studies at the University of Iceland... there will be a birthday thingumajiggy at Barinn tonight at 20, to celebrate the latter. And I have to write an article for politik.is - my first in many, many years... fortunately. I think I'll write something uber feminist. Yessirreeee. In fact, I have no idea what to write about, so any suggestions are welcome. I should get a ghost writer.
Well. On to other, more interesting news. There is a fly here that has taken a fancy to me. It's driving me crazy and drinking my coffee. Good bye.

Well, my darling. Premiere is over, and only 3 performances left. Hope you catch the shooow. Aaaand. Why am I blogging when I have clearly nothing to say? Last night my head was full of stuff to write, but no computer around.
I'm so full of coffee... we just got a new coffe machine at the Company. This overdose of caffine has re-introduced me to sarcasm and political conviction. Apparently the two are related in my brain. Which is good. Good that I know. Or. You know. Perhaps completely inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Anywhooo. Come to the show, call me and I can get you a deal, ok? A good one. I'm an excellent friend. Take your loved one to see the show! Spread the Word! OK?
Dance is cool, really it is. This performance has a live heavy metal band playing with it - naked upper bodies, long hair and leather pants included. So come, ok? Love you ;)

Lordy Lord!
I'm a bona-fide rocker now! Not only am I in a band - I will no longer be the flutist in the band... I now have a BASS-guitar AND an amplifier... hehehe!
My parents were absoloutely wonderful and actually gave it to me for a graduation present :D It's rrrrred and beautiful :D
(I've been talking about getting a bass for 6 years now... quite a digestion period)
(my mom didn't like the idea at first, 'cause she thought I was talking about a contrabass... that's so cute - No wonder she looked so baffled!)
I also got a DVD with bass-lessons - a kind and gentle rocker with long, rrreally curly hair is kind enough to give me lessons - I'm practicing diligently everyday and my fingers are kind of ouchy, but - that's the price for fame and fortune.
Or the price for a mediocre performance in a cool-ass band, in any case...
Anyway - Iceland Dance Company is premiering on THURSDAY, it's sold out but you can still get tickets for the other 5 performances (make sure you don't miss it!) www.id.is
