So I'm on Facebook now, and it is amazing how many "personality"-tests are out there - I mean really... apparently I like nerds (ehem), I have the 50's pin-up personality of Jane Mansfield (again, ehem) and I would be Svandís Svavarsdóttir if I were one of Reykjavik's counsil members... I'm a bona fide Brit and Canadian, I would be New York if I were a city and Here comes the sun is the Beattle's song that would best describe me. I scored 47 on the dr. Phil test, I would be Dr. Heidegger if I were a German philosopher and Theodora as a dictator.
These are just a few... I have deleted countless results from my profile page...
After all this time answering these tests, you begin to wonder about the collective scientific validity of all these tests - I mean, individually these tests are mostly full of crap, but perhaps together they make some sort of sense... Oh, well. Maybe I need to find something else to do with my time.

Like seeing the Iceland Dance Company!! I went to the premiere of Dansandi last Friday and I was really amazed - and finally, two pieces that can actually be considered audience friendly - and I don't mean this disparagingly towards other choreographers or negatively about these pieces. Good art CAN be audience-friendly, in spite of what many a snob would say.

People came out of the auditorium, smiling from ear to ear - after watching beautiful dance and then laughing their asses of... seriously, I would recommend this performance to anyone AND I am no longer getting paid to say this - so go!

I moved this weekend. Moved-ish. I don't like packing much, but I got most of the stuff shipped over with the aid of my brother-in-law and 5 year old niece - who is remarkably strong for her age. Makes you wonder about child labour - can't we do something productive with all these kindergartens?

So, back to basics, home to momma and poppa...
Saving up money so I can buy my own place... one who will hopefully not leak like my last flat.

OK... have to go work now!
See ya later.

Gettu betur (e: Guess again/better), the annual college competition of wits, has begun with a blast... I love watching this show, frequently yelling out answers (thankfully I try to watch it alone, since there are few things more embarrassing than yelling out the wrong answer...). Anyway, it just started again and I am amazed.
I could actually answer 3 out of 4 questions correctly last week (or at least half, hehe)!
Either my IQ has grown significantly since last year or the questions are a whole lot easier...
Sadly I don't believe my IQ to have such a growth potential. Although miracles have been known to happen... Quick, ask me a question!

And it leaks and it leaks and it keeps on leaking... my flat sprouted two new powerful leaks this weekend, the tub took about 5 hours to get this full... thank God I was at home when it started leaking, although it did manage to do some damage to the stuff that was there on the top of that shelf... :( Among others a book that I borrowed from a friend... grrrreat! )And last night I realised my chandellier was leaking... ok, chandellier might be a big word for it - however, the leak came from the roof... crawled down the electric wire and drippe down from the bulb... very scary...
So I'm going to try to hasten my departure, hopefully I'll have moved out by the end of this week... which means packing... which I don't really feel like doing! Maybe I should have a farewell party! :D yey!

Hey you, how's it hangin?
(Like I care... this is MY blog)

So what's up with me? Well, February, for one. Been busy at work (am still busy, just lazy at this particular moment) and plan on moving back to my parents in March.

Yup, after proud declarations that I would SO not be living with my parents at thirty... I move back in. My landlord wanted to raise my rent... and did not want to fix the 7 - yes count them 7 - leaks on my pitiful excuse for a roof.

So - back to the base(ment) and use the time to get rid of my debts and save up some money. And then I'm buying a purty little flat this summer... hopefully with a nice little garden and a roof that keeps most of the rain away :) Yes. That's the plan!
So Valentines day. Doesn't mean shit to me. Do know what I'll do, though, I'm gonna go home (wipe up various leaks), eat my black and green chocolate I just bought and drink chai and read a little bit of Neil Gaiman I've got stocked away. Yup. And then there is House. House would never leave me alone on Thursdays.
Or I might have to work.
Nope. Like the other plan better.
Toodles.
