In four days I will move into my flat.
In three days it's Anna's birthday (yeye!)
In one day I will help my aunt move to the end of the earth (Borgarnes)
In a few hours Sigga will land in Iceland.

Aaaand... in three days I have my summer vacation...

Last weekend was great, great fun. Had an impromptu garden party on Friday with some wonderful people, went down town and had a lot of fun there too ;)
On Saturday... well... ouf... on Saturday I went to Borgarnes for some hard work with my aunt... am excellent material for a manual labourer, except for not being able to move afterwards...
Aaaand on Sunday (isn't this just the most fascinating recounting of my life?) I went with my niece, Erna and my mom, incidentally also called Erna, to Árbær museum (it's a sortof a folk museum, with old houses and stuff...). It was a lot of fun, and Erna (the niece) got to drive in a horse-driven carriage... :) So, voila
the picture... Catch you later, hon.

Now is certainly a time to celebrate. Not only did my second niece finally get a name (finally, haha, she's 2 months old...)... her name is Svanhildur, which is very pretty indeed. BUT also my sister and her boyfriend finally got hitched. They did it at the same time as the christening and the marriage was a surpirse for most people there :) So, christenings and marriages, my family is hopping! (Hopping? Am I insane?)(Yes, I am)
Did I mention that I will be moving out in July? I know I mentioned moving, but originally I was meant to move out in August... I'm now looking for volunteers to help me paint. :D I'm also on the hunt for tiny furniture (for my tiny flat). So, now I need a tiny living room table, tiny chairs and perhaps a tiny sofa. I will look a bit like Gulliver in my flat... not being tiny myself and all...
I need a closet too and a washing machine, but otherwise I think I'm pretty good. Oo! A toaster! Can't move house without a toaster. (When did my blog turn into my to-do list?) Hugs. And. Kisses. To. You. Darling.

Wow. If my bedroom were a reflection of my emotional maturity I've taken a huge step backwards. About 13 years or so. I can't believe how it got so bad. Maybe it was the second couch in the middle of the room that made me give up all hope.

I might be cracking under pressure... first the room... then muscle control (well, those last three binges (I do mean binges) with work (do mean work, too) included a lot of physical exercise which has since caused me quite a lot of pain in my atrophied muscles)... then skin health... (I didn't know skin could DO some of the things mine's been doing lately)...

plus... I think I'm getting even weirder. More obsessive, I've never been obsessisve... this is strange indeed. No more obsessiveness! Stop obsessing about being obsessive. My obsessiveness is a blimp on the overall obsessiveness-scale... For someone with an obsessive/compulsive disorder. (OK, now I'm lying obsessively, quit it)

Anyway. Couple of weeks and voila: Vacation. And I'm leaving off the partying. After Gríman, I'm going to Gríman Friday. (For you foreigners, Gríman is an awards ceremony for Icelandic theatrical life, sortof like the Academy Awards, minus the movies, plus the theatre, minus the level of difficulty to get in... and quite smaller). WhatamIgonnawearwhatamIgonnawearwhatamIgonnawear...

OK, so after Friday: Chill, dig out the basement and bake a cake for my niece's Christening on Sunday. Very Martha Stewardesque. Although, to be fair, Martha would never have let things get so far out of hand. Then again... she did get thrown in jail. So, I win. (Minus the millions of dollars and throngs of crazed fans.)

We are back to green - eeeeverybody can breathe easy now... Buffy, series 5 has been safely located. Please return to your seats and proceed as regularly.
If you have nothing to do this Thursday night, I highly recommend the 25 hour Dancetheatre/Competition... 9 pieces competing... crrrazy awards... and a dance afterwards with Andrea Jóns playing... you can buy your tickets at the Reykjavik City Theatre... but they are almost sold out so you should hurry! See you tonight, honeyboney!

National alert!
I want everyone on their frigging toes!
OKEY?
I seem to have misplaced (Note, abcense of noun: Lost) the fifth series of Buffy. GASP!
How could this have happened? I have been quite active in lending my dvd's to people... but so far I think it's only my sis, Súsa and Gunna who've gotten the Buffy series and none of them have it. What is going on? How could this possibly happen?
(Spilled milk - me crying)(actively)(nope, just onions)
But if I DID lend it to anyone else, or simply forgot it somehwere... could you pleeease let me know?
I will kiss you for it, and dammit, I kiss good!

Hello my darlings. I have to find something spectacular to say to top last post's comment numbers... :) Thank you all, I feel so loved and appreciated!!
But, unfortunately I don't have much to say. Except for Renault.
I hate that new car with the big behind. It is as ugly as sin. If I were a designer at Renault I would... well, first of all never admit to it... but I would deffinitely wear a bag of shame over my head of some sort. And what offends me even MORE than that car (and it's predecessor, the Renault that looked like a bee, but an ugly one... the one with the big "house", ya know??) is their ADVERTISEMENT.
Seeing that the car has a big behind, the advertising people apparently thought that, well, if the car won't sell on it's look, we'll just put a lot of BUTTS in the ads. 98% of which will be the shaking behinds of shapely women with (let's face it)porn-star curves, but we'll put one in of a fat woman and one of a guy doing manly stuff, let's say bicycling, to satisfy "fat, ugly feminists" who object to the blatant exploitation of women. urrrg!
I'm sorry, Renault, if you're reading this. I don't know which is more offensive to me, the ugly car or the cheep exploitation of women to sell ugly cars. Probably the latter. But I do hate that car.
